Calibration Contract
At Michell Instruments we are continually striving to improve our products and services.
One area we have identified where we can make our customers' lives both easier and cheaper is sensor and instrument calibration and maintenance.
To make re-calibrating your instrument as straightforward and cost effective as possible, we operate a Calibration Contract. This arrangement has the following benefits:
Cost Saving - If you take out a Calibration Contract now you will receive up to five calibrations at today's prices, and save on the return packing and carriage charges on each one. This represents a saving of at least £30 per calibration.
Flexibility - You can choose to take your Calibration Contract over 2, 3 or 5 years.
Priority service - Michell's calibration laboratory is becoming increasingly busy, and booking ad hoc calibration times carries the risk of delay.
For impedance sensors we can offer two options:
1. A couple of weeks before your sensor needs recalibrating give us a call, quoting your Calibration Contract number, and we will order a freshly calibrated sensor for you. As soon as it is available we will despatch it to you and you can simply fit the new sensor and return the old one to us.
2. If you want your original sensor recalibrating, rather than ordering an exchange sensor you can return the sensor to us and we will fit it into the next calibration run. This will mean you will be without your sensor for about two weeks.
For cooled mirror instruments, where the sensor and instrument are calibrated together, inevitably you will have to be without your equipment for a period of time. However you can minimise downtime by booking the item in for calibration with us in advance, and when we receive your instrument it will be given high priority through our test and calibration department.
Peace of mind - The Calibration Contract covers the cost of repairs to both sensor and any monitor/display supplied with it (as long it is not caused by mishandling). This means that if a fault occurs, even several years down the line, any repairs will be carried out free of charge. This could represent a significant cost saving, especially in the long term.
Minimum downtime - The Calibration Contract means that you can build the time of calibration into your operations, and if you choose Michell's sensor exchange service, downtime is practically eliminated.
The Calibration Contract is designed primarily for customers with our current range of impedance sensors, ie. Cermax, Cermet II, Easidew and Transmet, and our cooled mirror instruments. If you have one of our older sensors or instruments, we will endeavour to tailor a calibration contract to suit your needs.
