European launch for S8000 Integrale at Hannover Messe

The latest addition to the cooled-mirror dew-point meter range from Michell Instruments - the S8000 Integrale - had its European launch at Hannover Messe in April this year. As the world's largest trade fair, it was the ideal venue to showcase the S8000 to an international audience.

Available in several versions, the S8000 offers unmatched accuracy in dew point measurements for both calibration and process critical applications, and takes into account the needs of users, as Denis Lemaire, product manager, explains:

'We designed the S8000 in response to feedback we've received from our customers and other humidity equipment users,' he says. 'For example, with the new S8000 range, users have a choice of vertical or horizontal configurations to suit their needs - whether they want to use the product in a laboratory setting or as part of an industrial process.'

Not surprisingly, the product generated lots of interest at the exhibition due to its exciting range of new features:

State-of-the-art thermoelectric heat pump cools the mirror to enable measurement of dew point down to -60 degrees centigrade
Integrated sensor head to enables its use as a standalone reference hygrometer
A unique dual optics system allows quick and reliable measurement down to very low dew points
The S8000 Integrale uses a modern Dynamic Contamination Correction System (DCC) to achieve optimum measurement performance at all times. This automatic intuitive system re-balances the optics to compensate for any reduction in the light intensity due to contamination of the components in the optical path. Although the DCC system is fully automatic, it can be configured by professional users for individual applications.

The Hannover show also gave Michell the chance to showcase another first - a brand new stand designed to the company's new corporate look and incorporating multimedia displays to showcase a wide range of products and services.
