Process Analyser Technician
Michell are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Technician. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, the main objective of the Technician is to build, test and calibrate Michell's range of Process Analysers following drawings and work instructions.
The role includes:
- Identifying, reporting and resolving technical faults in analyser performance
- Working with the Technical and Quality Departments to resolve faults
- Working from drawings and instructions to carry out soldering, wire looms, pipework
assembly (Swagelok fittings), mechanical and electrical builds
- Maintain gas bottle storage, ensuring enough gas is available for continual testing
- Fill in test reports, produce graphs on bespoke analyser software and maintain traceability
between specific gas bottles and analysers
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum ONC/OND qualified in a suitable discipline with a good standard of verbal and
numerical reasoning capability
- Preferably from a process instrumentation environment
- Knowledge of high pressure systems and associated health and safety issues
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry instrumentation would be an advantage
- IT literate
- Quality orientated

UKAS Technician
Michell are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic UKAS Technician to carry out traceable calibrations on humidity instruments, on behalf of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.
The role includes:
- Set up and set down calibration systems to accommodate a wide range of humidity measuring instruments
- To carry out, under the guidance of the UKAS Calibration Laboratory Manager, humidity calibrations by following laid down rules and procedures
- To achieve work schedules within the timescales set by planning department
- To record data and present them to the UKAS Calibration Lab Manager for authorisation and signature
Qualifications and experience required:
- Minimum of four passes including English and Maths at GCSE grades A-C expected
- Ideally, a minimum of 2 years in a UKAS accredited humidity calibration laboratory, or similar
- Otherwise, 2-5 yeas in an instrument test workshop, or gas systems test laboratory
- Working with data using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet or similar program
Reporting to the Production Manager, the candidate will have an understanding of moisture and/or pressure gas flow systems. In addition to this, the candidate will have a good mechanical understanding as well as being able to clearly follow and interpret detailed work instructions. Computer literacy and good hand co-ordination are also a must for this challenging, but exciting position.

Marketing Executive
Michell are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic marketing executive to support the communication activities of the company. The role requires someone with excellent interpersonal skills, attention detail and the ability to work on various projects at once. Time management is a must in a role that is busy, but rewarding. The role includes:
- Editing and re-formatting of company literature and advertising material
- Managing the company website(s) with CMS and HTML
- Proofreading and editing PR for various trade publications
- Putting together e-mail newsletter campaigns with agency
- Editing images for adverts and literature
- Coordinating exhibition bookings and material for shows
- Analysing website statistics through analytics
- Maintaining Google Adwords
- Updating relevant portals with PR
- Distributing PR to circulation lists
- General support for subsidiary and distributor offices
- Updating budget
Skills and Experience
- Good knowledge of Quark Xpress (experience of Adobe InDesign also an advantage)
- Experience creating and editing pages in Dreamweaver
- Project management skills
- Ability to use Adobe Photoshop
- Knowledge of online marketing
- Ability to write and edit PR
- Experience with E-Marketing concepts
- MS Office packages including Excel, Word and Powerpoint
